Levante vs Sevilla preview - Caparros looking for response

Levante coach Joaquin Caparros has warned his side they must get tough if they are going to bounce back from their nightmare start to the new Primera Division season.

Caparros' side were hammered 7-0 by Barcelona in their opener at the Nou Camp last weekend and he is demanding a reaction for their home opener against Sevilla on Sunday.

Caparros said: "It seemed like we were a tribute act - we lacked aggressiveness in the best sense of the word. But we have left the dentist and we will see what happens next."

Caparros' problems were heightened by the departure of Vicente Iborra to Sunday's opponents on the eve of the new season and Iborra is expected to line up against his old team.

Fellow midfielder Pape Diop has also indicated his desire to leave but Levante's problems have eased slightly with the capture of Remi Gomis from French club Valenciennes.

Gomis said: "I am far from in my best shape because I have not trained, but I will try to be fit as soon as possible."

Sevilla also struggled on the opening day of the season, falling to a 3-1 home defeat to Atletico Madrid.

But Unai Emery's men bounced back with a 4-1 midweek win over Slask Wroclaw in their UEFA Europa League qualifier, a game marked by two superb goals from in-form striker Marko Marin.

Sevilla are due to head to Poland for the second leg next Thursday before they get the chance to atone for their loss to Atletico at home against Malaga the following Sunday.
