Dunfermline 2 : 3 Arbroath - Cook at the double in Arbroath win
Posted Sunday, August 18, 2013 by PA
Alan Cook scored a quickfire double as Arbroath came from behind to win 3-2 at 10-man Dunfermline.
The Red Lichties got off to the perfect start when Steven Milne slotted home after seven minutes.
Callum Morris equalised with a header from a Ross Millen corner in the 28th minute before Shaun Byrne gave the hosts the lead with a right-foot effort five minutes before the break.
Dunfermline's lead lasted only two minutes as Cook first scored from the penalty spot after Chris Kane fouled Michael Travis and then with a left-foot strike from the centre of the penalty area.
Kane was sent off early in the second half for a second bookable offence to ruin any chances the hosts had of getting back into the game.
