Prem giants told they can have Brazil ace Bernard – for £22m

PREMIER LEAGUE clubs have been told they can have Brazil star Bernard — for £22million.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reported to have been keeping tabs on the Atletico Mineiro star, 20, who is also a target for Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk.
And Mineiro director Eduardo Malu said: “The president has already made very clear, if an offer of £22m arrives, he is going to sell and we will buy another player.
“If this offer did not appear, Bernard will stay at Atletico. He is young and can leave at the end of the year.”
The Gunners and Tottenham, who are also interested, face stiff competition from across Europe to land the highly-rated midfielder.
But Bernard insists if it was up to him then he would stay put in Brazil.
He added: “I’ll keep working until the board decides something about the transfer.
“There are offers from English football, Shakhtar and Porto.
“I have said a thousand times that I want to stay, but it doesn’t depend on me now.
“I made it clear that, if I stay or not, I wanted to leave here with an important title.
“It’s up to God to decide if I stay or not, up to God, Atletico Mineiro’s presidency and the board.”
