Bayern on road to Chel ’n back
BOUNCING BACK ... Muller says Bayern are even stronger this time

THOMAS MULLER has vowed Bayern Munich’s Chelsea heartache will inspire them to Champions League glory at Wembley tonight.

Bayern face German rivals Borussia Dortmund in the final — 12 months after their penalty shootout defeat by the Blues.

And Muller declared: “Last year’s final won’t have a negative impact, only a positive one because we’re motivated.

“We’ll be even more attentive in our actions. We won’t be giving anything away. It will only sharpen our senses.”

Bayern were left broken-hearted in their own Allianz Arena stadium last year.

Muller netted what looked like the winner with seven minutes to go — but Didier Drogba made it 1-1 and then the Germans lost on penalties.

That came hot on the heels of defeat in the 2010 final to Inter Milan, then bossed by Jose Mourinho.

Striker Muller said: “We really did play very well last year but scored only one.

“There were perhaps some deficiencies and that cost us the title.

“We didn’t like the way it happened, but we have to be even more rigorous.

“We’re doing the right things, the performances have been good and the team has progressed. We’re there for each other and we’re efficient.”

The German international also insists Bundesliga champions Bayern have NO weaknesses this time.

Muller added: “Maybe you should ask Dortmund what they’ve decided our weakness is.

“I can’t say I have a feeling we have any weakness in football.

“We’ve played a lot of games without goals being scored against us. We feel good about this game.”

Skipper Philipp Lahm also insists Bayern are not feeling the pressure as they chase a fifth European Cup.

They last lifted the famous trophy in 2001 — and no German side has won it since.

But Lahm said: “There is no reason why we shouldn’t win. This is the third time in four years we’re in the final.

“There’s always pressure at Bayern Munich, we’re the champions and we have the German Cup final next week — we always have pressure.

“But we’ve matured a lot, we’re developing well, our players are at the right age and we have characters out there.”
