CASH HIT ... Harry Redknapp
HARRY REDKNAPP will have to take a pay cut following QPR’s relegation.
Chairman Tony Fernandes revealed boss Redknapp and more than half of his squad have relegation clauses reducing their salaries next season.
Fernandes said: “Do we have relegation clauses? Yes. Do all the players have them? No. But at least 60 per cent do. The manager? Yes. His salary goes down as well.”
Rangers, who appointed boss Redknapp on a £3million-a-year deal in November, were relegated to the Championship after last week’s 0-0 draw at Reading.
Fernandes refused to reveal which players have the clauses — and how much the decreases will be.
