Stenhousemuir moved within three points of a play-off place following a 4-0 win over 10-man Ayr.
The Warriors went ahead after four minutes when Sean Dickson fired a powerful header past Graeme Smith in the Ayr goal.
Stenhousemuir doubled their lead after 19 minutes when Ross McMillan flicked Jamie Reid's corner onto the head of John Gemmell, who buried his header into the top left corner.
Ayr were reduced to 10 men after 40 minutes when Christopher Smith was sent off for bringing down Nicholas Devlin in the box.
John Gemmell stepped up and slotted home the resulting penalty.
Darren Smith made it four after 55 minutes with a well-placed shot into the bottom corner, and they could have had more but Jamie Reid rattled the crossbar.
