PSG convinced they've got Wayne - now they want Nani
WANTED ... Wayne Rooney and Nani are targets for wealthy French giants PSG

FRENCH giants Paris Saint-Germain are convinced they will land Wayne Rooney in a £25million summer swoop.

And the mega-rich Qatari-backed outfit are ready to make it a £40m double deal to take his Manchester United team-mate Nani.

Well-respected former sports advisor to the club Michel Moulin appeared on French TV to claim: “Rooney to PSG is done.”

Moulin, 52, also boss of French publication 10 Sport, added: “I announce from trusted sources, he will be at PSG next season.”

Rooney still has two years left on his current Old Trafford contract.

But PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has made the England hitman, 27, his No 1 target.

And Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic urged Rooney to join him and David Beckham in Paris.

He said: “If he wants to be part of the best project in football then there is only one club to sign for.

“I can understand why the owners are interested in Rooney, he is in the top 10 of strikers in Europe.”

There have been doubts about Rooney’s Old Trafford future all season and no talks about extending his current deal are planned.

Boss Alex Ferguson left him out of the line-up for their biggest match of the season — the Champions League last-16 return against Real Madrid.

He was also axed after just one game at the start of the season following a poor display at Everton.

PSG are now also keen on Nani, 26, and are set to offer £15m for him.

The Portuguese winger is convinced this will be his last season at United after failing to reach an agreement on a new deal.

His current contract runs out at the end of next season and he was not even in the squad for Sunday’s victory at Stoke.
