Brechin will be without Jonathan Brown (ankle) and Craig Molloy (knee) as they look to derail Queen of the South's title bid at Forfar's Station Park.

The game has been moved as Glebe Park continues to be unplayable and having won 2-1 against Ayr on their adopted ground on Saturday, manager Ray McKinnon is keen for his men to see off the champions-elect.

McKinnon said: "Our move to Forfar worked at the weekend and we are lucky to have players who can counter-attack with speed on their surface.

"Queen of the South will be well-deserved champions but if we can delay them by winning this game and then doing the same on Saturday when we meet again would be terrific."

Midfielder Ian McShane is the only absentee for Queen of the South as they look to be the first side in Britain to be crowned champions this season.

McShane is recovering from hip surgery.

The Doonhamers won titles at Station Park in 1951 and 2002, however player-manager Allan Johnston is keeping everyone cool at Palmerston Park.

Johnston said: "Brechin are a really good side so we can't just pitch up and expect to win. They have only lost once in 17 games and need the points for their own purposes.

"We need to do what we have been doing all season. That is to prepare well and then go out and play well. If we do that then we can win this game."
