If Falcao is worth £48m then Burak is worth £35m - Aysal

The Cimbom supremo believes the Turkey ace is near the Atletico Madrid forward's level and would therefore warrant a similar transfer fee if a sale was being considered

Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has slapped a €40 million [£35m] price-tag on Burak Yilmaz after comparing the striker to Radamel Falcao.

The 27-year-old joined the Super Lig champions in the summer from Trabzonspor and has been an instant hit at the Turk Telecom Arena, scoring 21 goals in all competitions, including seven in as many Champions League appearances.

And amidst his impressive form, the Gala president has suggested that Burak has proved himself to be as valuable as the Colombian hitman, while also giving similar appraisal to €30m-rated goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.

"We have not received any offers for Burak Yilmaz, but, of course, [the speculation] will mount as the end of the season nears closer," Aysal told Sabah.

"Burak is a very valuable star for us. If, however, we are talking about Falcao being worth €55 million [£48m], then my player is €40m [£35m].

"I think a price between €30m-€35m [£26-£30m] is about right for [Fernando] Muslera. In the event that we receive offers close to these numbers, they would be subjected to the players."
