Di Canio: No chance of Swindon return

Despite being tipped by bookmakers for a shock U-turn, the former West Ham talisman is adamant that the Robins hierarchy has left him in an untenable position
Paolo Di Canio has refuted the suggestion that he will return to the helm at Swindon after his acrimonious departure earlier this month.
Di Canio announced his resignation last week, citing the sale of winger Matt Ritchie and the delay in the club's takeover talks as the main reasons for his departure.
And while a local consortium led by Jed McCrory has now completed its takeover of the club, Di Canio is adamant he will not return.
“No because they didn’t prove to me that they wanted to keep me," he told Sky Sports.
“So this was enough, no chance. My chapter at Swindon is finished in terms of being the manager at Swindon football club.
“I didn’t see a very strong desire to keep Paolo Di Canio at this club so far that reason I decided to leave the club.
"I am a straight man and I handled a situation this year that was absolutely incredible, I don't have any regrets."
