CESC FABREGAS has today dealt Arsenal a blow by declaring: I want to stay at Barcelona FOREVER.

Fabregas spent eight years in North London before quitting to rejoin his boyhood club in 2011.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger last month revealed he was “convinced” Fabregas, 25, would one day return to the Emirates.

Fabregas admits he understands why long-serving keeper Victor Valdes is qutting Barcelona.

But the Spain midfielder insists there is no chance that he will follow Valdes out of the Nou Camp.

He said: “What Victor wants to experience now I went through when I was young and it was fantastic for me.

“But now I have returned and I want to stay, if I can and if I deserve to, forever.”

The Catalans take on AC Milan in their European last-16 showdown next month.

And Fabregas added: “For me, to win the Champions League with Barca would be the best dream I could have as a football player.

“Our game against AC Milan is the most important of the season and although people say that Milan are not the same as in previous seasons it will still be a great challenge in a difficult stadium.”
