Paris Saint Germain vs FC Porto preview - Ancelotti: I'll get it right

I have a say

Defiant Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti insists he will get the team back on track even if it takes a month to find a solution.

PSG have taken just four points from their last five Ligue 1 matches, dropping to fourth place and five points adrift of leaders Lyon, and were also knocked out of the League Cup by Saint-Etienne.

Reports in France have claimed the club's Qatari owners met with former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola at the weekend, while Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has also been linked with taking over.

It is not the ideal preparation ahead of their final Champions League match at home to Porto, although the only thing at stake on Tuesday is to decide the top two places in Group A as both have already qualified.

"All coaches must manage these moments," said Ancelotti. "The criticism is sometimes deserved but we are all sorry to have slipped this season.

"But the championship is not over, things will change. PSG will be very competitive.

"We met our first objective (to qualify for the Champions League) and I'm focused to find the right solution to help the team.

"I'm sure to find the right one, even if it may take a week, 10 days or a month."

PSG are unbeaten at home in all five European games against Portuguese opponents but Ancelotti knows nothing other than a win will secure to top spot.

"It's very important to finish top, just to benefit a better draw then," he added.

"We'll have to change our attitude on the pitch, be strong and united.

"This is a good opportunity to forget the (weekend) defeat to Nice. I have a good "feeling".

Porto coach Vitor Pereira, whose side were knocked out of the Portuguese Cup by Braga on Friday, insists they are looking to beat PSG having won their previous group encounter.

"We are going to Paris to win and to be first in the group," said Pereira.

"This club lives off victories."

Goalkeeper Helton returns to the squad but Porto will be without defenders Maicon and Rafa.
