Wesley Sneijder: In a contract dispute with Inter Milan
Inter manager Andrea Stramaccioni has revealed that he would like to call up Wesley Sneijder for this weekend's Serie A game against Palermo.
It had previously been thought that the Dutch midfielder may not appear again for the Italian club after a contract dispute, with Sneijder reportedly unavailable for selection until he agreed a reduction on his €6million-a-year contract.
However, it appears that Stramaccioni would favour a return for Sneijder, who has not featured for the club since September 26th.
"This week we trained well and Wesley trained as well as the others," Stramaccioni said.
"Should he be called-up? Yes, like everyone.
"The situation can seem complicated from the outside, but there is a good feeling with Wesley."
Whether Inter's President Massimo Moratti shares the opinion of his coach remains to be seen.
