Rovers plan Harry talks

BLACKBURN are due to hold talks with Harry Redknapp about their vacant manager’s job today.
The former Tottenham chief is set to meet with Rovers global advisor Shebby Singh and chief executive Derek Shaw about succeeding Steve Kean.
At the start of the year Redknapp was the strong favourite to take over from Fabio Capello as England coach.
Now he is willing to speak about dropping down into the Championship — although Blackburn face a huge task to persuade him to take over at Ewood Park.
Redknapp, 65, is keen to get back into management but the distance from his home on the South Coast could yet prove to be a problem.
And it is believed Rovers controversial owners Venky’s would have to dig deep if they are to persuade him to make the move to Lancashire.
The possibility of jobs at QPR and Southampton coming up in the near future could also be a potential obstacle for Blackburn.
Last night Singh was holding talks with the club’s title-winning defender Henning Berg about the role.
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway, Gus Poyet of Brighton and Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson are also believed to figure prominently in their thoughts.
Kean was dismissed in September but moves for ex-
Rovers players Tim Sherwood and Billy McKinlay have so far been thwarted.
