Galliani gives Allegri a vote of confidence ahead of Malaga clash

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has said coach Massimiliano Allegri’s job is safe regardless of the result of Wednesay night’s Champions League clash with Malaga.
Milan has endured a miserable start to the season and has taken just seven points from its first eight games in Serie A, however the club's European form has been better with four from a possible six.
The team has also lost back-to-back games domestically but Galliani has said Allegri will still be coach whatever the outcome of the clash at La Rosaleda.
“Whatever will happen tonight in Malaga-Milan, it won't be the last night of Allegri as coach,” Galliani told Sky Sport 24. “Let’s end this rumor. We want to keep on moving forward with Allegri and he will stay. We have netted 162 points in Serie A with Allegri, which is far more than any other Serie A club during this period.”
Galliani also compared his side’s fortunes to that of Barcelona’s last season and said Milan is a team in transition.
“Football consists of cycles. Look at Barcelona, they are the best in the world but they didn’t win La Liga or the Champions League last season," he continued. “We need to stay calm and get right back on track all together. The squad is not the same as it was last season, but we simply can’t be occupying the position we currently have.”
Milan has recently suffered reverses to Lazio and fierce local rival Inter and heads into the clash against Malaga in second place in Group C.
