Juventus are set to battle Manchester United for the signing of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, according to reports in Italy.
Lewandowski is rated one of the hottest properties in Europe and was the star performer for Borussia Dortmund last season as he netted 30 goals to help them win the league and cup double.
The prolific forward has been among the goals once again this season and was on the scoresheet on Sunday during the 1-1 draw against Hannover 96.
Sir Alex Ferguson is understood to be a long-term admirer of the 24-year-old forward and is impressed by the fact that he can also play in a wide position, as uncertainty continues to surround the future of Nani.
But the Manchester United boss will have to move quickly as Italian newspaper Tuttosport is claiming that Juventus are making advanced moves to sign Lewandowski.
