Drog: I blacked out after Munich win
JUBILATION ... Didier Drogba mobs Petr Cech after penalty shoot-out victory

DIDIER DROGBA has spoken for the first time about his emotional celebrations with Roman Abramovich — and how he blacked out after sealing Champions League glory.

Chelsea start the defence of their European crown on Wednesday against Juventus four months to the day since Drogba’s winning spot-kick sealed their amazing win.

It was Drogba’s last kick for the club before his mega-money move to Shanghai Shenhua — and he explained why he took the trophy straight to owner Abramovich when he got his hands on the cup.

Drogba revealed: “We had a few conversations every year.

“On this year he said ‘are we going to win the Champions League or not?’ I said I didn’t know, then a week before the final we spoke and I said this time it was our time.”

Drogba famously scored the equaliser against Bayern Munich then conceded a penalty that Petr Cech saved from Arjen Robben.

The two Chelsea heroes led the celebrations at the Allianz Arena after the amazing shoot-out win.

He said: “I wanted to run directly to the boys but Petr was the guy that saved my night.

“I had to go to him, I said thank you and we said ‘we did it’. Then black out.

“People were jumping on us and it was a great moment, a great feeling.”
Frank Lampard reckons Chelsea’s season should be made into a film.

He admits he watches replays of last season’s matches and still cannot understand how Roberto Di Matteo’s men won.
Lampard admitted: “I watch the final now and still can’t believe we won it.

“I still get nervous when the penalty is given and when they have chance after chance.

“The Barcelona game before that the same and you can take it back further to Napoli and struggling in the group.

“If you wanted to write a film about a football team that somehow managed to win the Champions League — that was the year we did it. It was incredible.”

Kings of Europe — The Chelsea Story will be screened on Sky Sports 1 HD at 6.55pm.
