Man United 4 Wigan 0: Ferguson's old masters stir the young blood

Paying the penalty: Ali Al-Habsi saved Hernandez's spot-kick
'Always the victims, never your fault,' the minority sang.
On a purely footballing note, it was sad to see one of England's brightest young forwards, Danny Welbeck, con referee Michael Oliver with a theatrical fall over Al-Habsi after four minutes.
The old saying 'cheats never prosper' came to mind when the Wigan keeper saved Hernandez's weak penalty and Welbeck went on to miss five chances before half-time.
With frustrating creeping in, the old maestro popped up. Great interplay between Nani and Michael Carrick opened up Wigan, and when Al-Habsi spilled Nani's shot, Scholes turned in the rebound from eight yards.
'Just what we remembered the young Paul Scholes for,' smiled Ferguson.
