Bolt on ... Olympic hero Usain on Man Utd pitch
OLYMPIC hero Usain Bolt took to the pitch at Old Trafford yesterday with a personalised Manchester United shirt.
The triple London gold medal sprinter’s top had the numbers 963 representing the 9.63 seconds he took to win the Olympic 100 metres final.
Jamaican Bolt, 26, who was wearing his gongs, also struck his archer pose to the delight of supporters. He was special guest at United’s 3-2 Premier League win over Fulham.
He continued to badger United’s boss Sir Alex Ferguson to give him a trial after telling The Sun in an exclusive interview: “I would be the fastest player in the team – I could make a difference.”
When he was presented to the crowd before kick-off, United’s fans sang: “Fergie, Fergie, sign him up.”
