£40m or FORGET IT! AVB tells Luka: Move is off if no-one pays up

NO GO ... AVB has blocked Luka Modric's move until club get £40m offer
ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS last night told sulking Luka Modric he will not be allowed to quit Spurs until a club coughs up the £40million asking price.
And White Hart Lane boss AVB has banned the Croatian midfielder from training with the rest the team until he sorts out his bad attitude.
Wantaway rebel Modric, 26, has been training alone since being fined last month for going AWOL in an apparent attempt to force through a move to Real Madrid.
Villas-Boas declared: “He is training alone. We decided to do that until his mental state is ready to return to the team.
“It is important that, in the coming days, he understands he must return to the first team. We respect the player’s ambition, but he must also respect the club.”
Spurs have slapped a £40m price tag on Modric, which Real were not willing to accept. Paris St Germain have also reportedly pulled out of the race to sign him.
Villas-Boas added: “Until we receive a suitable offer, he will not go. We respect the size of Madrid and the other interested clubs, but they must respect what we are doing too.”
Selling Modric would give Villas-Boas the cash to buy — especially a top striker.
