Pre-season round up: Arsenal XI beaten by non-league Dartford as Newcastle ease past Gateshead & Everton slip up at Tranmere

A young Arsenal side were gunned down by Dartford at Princes Park, with their only goal of the night coming from Sanchez Watt.
First-team coach Terry Burton was able to include some of the players who had been on the senior squad’s tour to Asia, with Ignasi Miquel, Craig Eastmond, Chuks Aneke and Thomas Eisfield some of the recognisable names in the starting lineup.
And, despite controlling possession for long stages, and much like the senior team, the visitors went behind against the run of play thanks to a goal from Dartford striker Harry Crawford.
Serge Gnabry came close to levelling the match for Arsenal, striking an effort off the post from the edge of the box just before the break, but the Gunners pegged back the hosts from the penalty spot thanks to Watt shortly after half-time.
But Burton's young side were defeated by a late goal from Ryan Hayes after a poor backpass from Sead Hajrovic let the Dartford man in to poke home a winning goal.
