FA set to block any attempt by Joey Barton to serve his 12-match ban at Fleetwood Town

THE FA are set to block any attempt by Joey Barton to serve his 12-match ban at Fleetwood Town.
The QPR badboy is training with the League Two club and a loan spell would see his suspension end quicker than by staying in the Premier League.
But a short-term loan would require an application to the FA — and the chances of getting a move pushed through is rated extremely unlikely.
Barton picked up his ban for lashing out on the final day of last season against Manchester City and being sent off.
He was left out of QPR’s tour of Asia and Fleetwood have given him a chance to keep fit.
He is currently due back in action for Rangers in November.
