Villas-Boas wants Moutinho to replace Modric at Tottenham

Andre Villas-Boas admits he’s interested in signing Joao Moutinho as a possible replacement for Luka Modric.
The new Spurs chief claims the club are ready to let the wantaway Croatian midfielder leave White Hart Lane if they receive a suitable transfer fee.
And Villas-Boas believes Moutinho, who he managed when in charge of Porto, could fill the diminutive star’s boots.
“He was one of the most important players at Euro 2012,” said Villas-Boas. “He had a fantastic tournament.
“He was an important player for Porto in the two seasons in a row when they won the title.
“Those sort of players will always be interesting to us. It doesn’t mean it’s the only target we’re looking at, but if something happened then of course we would look upon him with some interest.”
