Friedel: Tottenham will replace Modric if he decides to leave

Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel feels the club will not allow playmaker Luka Modric to leave without having a ready replacement in place.
Spurs finished fourth in last season’s Premier League but narrowly missed out on Champions League football due to Chelsea winning the competition after beating Bayern Munich on penalties.
Friedel has dismissed the notion that Modric’s possible departure will result in Tottenham becoming a selling club and is sure chairman Daniel Levy will dive straight back into the transfer market for a suitable replacement.
"Knowing the way the chairman works, if someone like Luka Modric left the club, then they would have a ready-made replacement." Friedel told talkSPORT. "I can't see with the ambition that the club has that they can let players leave without having a replacement. We're not a selling club - that's for sure."
Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho has been linked as the man to fill the void left by Modric, with new Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas having managed the player during his time in Portugal.
A fee of around 30 million pounds has been mooted, with the Croatian expected to demand the same figure.
