Rosicky worry for Czechs - Captain to undergo assessment on leg muscle injury
Tomas Rosicky: Czech Republic captain is to have a leg muscle injury assessed by a doctor

Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky has emerged as an injury concern for Euro 2012 after confirming he is suffering from a leg muscle problem.

Rosicky, who enjoyed a fine second half of the Premier League season with Arsenal, is due to visit a doctor to receive an assessment on the injury.

The 31-year-old is hoping he will then be able to rejoin his international team-mates at a training camp in Austria as the Czechs continue their build-up to the European Championship.

"The muscle is not torn but it is necessary for me to consult a doctor," said Rosicky.

"After that, all being well, I will rejoin the squad."

Viktoria Plzen midfielder Vladimir Darida has been drafted into the training camp as cover, although coach Michal Bilek is optimistic Rosicky will be fit for the tournament.

Bilek said: "For the moment there is no great panic as regards the fitness of Rosicky.

"But if towards the end of the week Tomas is still not 100 per cent ready then Darida will be selected for the Euro, at the expense of an already selected player."

The Czechs have been drawn in Group A at Euro 2012 and will face Russia, 2004 winners Greece and co-hosts Poland in the first round.
