John Ruddy: Has been selected in England's 23-man squad for Euro 2012
Paul Lambert believes John Ruddy's England call-up is fully deserved, with the Norwich keeper having worked hard to earn an opportunity.
Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson has selected Ruddy in his 23-man squad for Euro 2012 on the back of his consistent displays in the Premier League.
He is one of two uncapped players included in the England ranks, along with Arsenal youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Ruddy was tipped by many to make the grade, having shone at domestic level, and his manager is not surprised to see him get the nod.
Fantastic
Lambert snapped the 25-year-old up from Everton two years ago and has seen him go from strength to strength at Carrow Road.
"It's unbelievable for him and great for him and the football club," said Lambert.
"The way he's played he deserves it and it's a great honour for him and a testament to the way our goalkeeping coach Jeff Wood has been working with him.
"He's been fantastic I think and his confidence has increased playing week in, week out. But he's done it himself and he's been brilliant for me."
