France boss Blanc open to offers from 'big' European clubs

Laurent Blanc has admitted that he could easily part company with France after Euro 2012 if a "big European club" comes calling.

The former Inter defender is out of contract after the tournament and has been heavily linked with a return to San Siro, with current coach Andrea Stramaccioni only having been installed on an interim basis until the end of the season.

Blanc has now explained that while he is currently focused on Les Bleus and this summer's campaign in Poland and Ukraine, he is open to offers.

"If a big European club contacts me, it is possible that I will sign," the 46-year-old coach told TF1. "My priority is still the France team but my future is not conditioned by the results in the Euro."

Meanwhile, Blanc revealed that Lyon attacking midfielder Yoann Gourcuff is still being considered for the tournament even though he has struggle for form and fitness over the past year.

"The season has been chaotic for Yoann," he mused. "If you are not playing, or playing very little, or if you're injured, you cannot be selected.

"But he has a chance to participate in the Euro, since the offensive line does not have many certainties. That still leaves him an opportunity."

While Gourcuff has struggled this season, Newcastle United attacker Hatem Ben Arfa has been one of the most exciting players on show in the Premier League and Blanc confirmed that he is in contention for a recall.

"We know that this is a talented boy," the former Manchester United sweeper stated. "He is selectable again."

Blanc has overseen a dramatic improvement in France's fortunes after taking charge of the national team after a disastrous showing at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, but the French Football Federation has repeatedly stated it will not discuss the ex-Bordeaux boss' future until after the Euros.
