ON THE LUK OUT ... top clubs across the world would love to have Modric
By STEVE PAGE HARRY REDKNAPP has stunned Tottenham fans by admitting Luka Modric could leave the club this summer.
But he insists Gareth Bale is going nowhere, as the wing wizard can best boost his career at White Hart Lane.
It is an about-turn from Redknapp, who insisted only last Thursday that neither star would be sold.
Even his analysis of Bale, though, could prove dodgy.
For the Welsh wizard, 22, admitted yesterday he may have to consider his future if the Londoners fail to make it into the Champions League.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy took an uncompromising and much praised stance last summer, when he told midfield maestro Modric he could not go to Chelsea under any circumstances.
Since then, the pint-sized Croatian has knuckled down and been an almost ever-present in Tottenham’s currently faltering bid for a Champions League place.
Yet manager Redknapp now accepts he cannot guarantee the 26-year-old will still be at the club for the start of the 2012-13 campaign, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all showing interest.
