Ezequiel Lavezzi believes that Napoli is ready for a defining night in its Champions League adventure as it faces Chelsea in the second leg of the last 16 stage.
Napoli travels to Stamford Bridge holding a 3-1 advantage and Lavezzi, who scored two goals in the first leg, has attempted to rally his teammates ahead of Wednesday's game.
"We come into this game in the best way possible, with six consecutive victories and high morale," he stated on his official website.
The Argentine knows that the London club will still pose a threat despite the recent departure of manager Andre Villas-Boas.
"It will be a battle but we are ready and focused," he added. "We are conscious of having a date with history."
Napoli will be looking to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the first time in its history.
The second-leg encounter kicks off at 2.45 p.m. ET.
