Andre Ayew, Gignac out of Marseille’s Ajaccio trip

Marseille will be without attacking midfielder Andre Ayew and striker Andre-Pierre Gignac for Friday's crucial game at Ajaccio, coach Didier Deschamps revealed on Thursday.
Ayew has been ruled out due to a longstanding shoulder injury, while Gignac is still to return to full fitness after a groin problem.
"(Ayew) won't be there because his shoulder is handicapping him and causing him pain," said Deschamps, who added that Ayew was nonetheless expected to play in next Tuesday's Champions League last 16 second leg at Inter Milan.
Deschamps also announced that Stephane Mbia, Mathieu Valbuena and top scorer Loic Remy were all likely to return from injury against Ajaccio.
"They'll be in the squad, although their participation won't be confirmed until after training (on Friday)," said the Marseille coach.
"If they come with us, it's because they have a chance of playing."
Victory at relegation-threatened Ajaccio is imperative for Marseille, who have fallen eight points below the Champions League places after losing their last three games.
