Juventus join hunt for Van Persie

Juventus have joined the race to sign Robin Van Persie, according to reports in Italy.
The Arsenal striker is sure to be one of the most sought-after players in world football this summer as he still has not signed a contract extension at the club.
His deal will have a year to run this summer and if he does not sign a new contract, he will be free to speak to foreign clubs in January 2013 regarding a move away from Arsenal.
Arsenal fear that van Persie could consider leaving the club if they fail to qualify for the Champions League and the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in him.
At 28, the Dutchman only has an FA Cup with Arsenal to show for his eight years at the club, while a UEFA Cup winners' medal with Feyenoord completes his meagre trophy haul.
A fresh start in the search for silverware remains an option and aside from Spain's big two, Juventus are also keen.
Corriere Dello Sport claims the Serie A club want to make an approach for van Persie this summer and sporting director Guiseppe Marotta is eager to talk to Arsenal representatives this summer.
