The 46-year-old feels he can still help the club reach bigger heights but reckons that the decision about his situation lies in the board's hands
Sevilla coach Marcelino has guaranteed that he is not thinking about leaving the club.
The 46-year-old coach, who took over from Gregorio Manzano in the summer, is under extreme pressure as Sevilla sit 11th in the Liga standings after Sunday's 1-2 home defeat against Villarreal.
"I will not quit, although I am the most responsible [for the result]," Marcelino told reporters after the match.
"I will work until the people who make decisions know what to do about my future. I feel capable of turning this situation around."
Marcelo also played down the notion that his squad choices played a role in Sunday's game, saying: "I do not believe that the substitutions were suicidal [to the result]."
