Arbroath are again without striker Jordan Elfverson through a back injury as they look to end a five-game winless run in the league against Albion Rovers.

Back-up goalkeeper Michael White is also out with a knee problem and manager Paul Sheerin may add to his pool before kick-off if talks with an unnamed target are successful.

Sheerin said: "I enjoyed our meetings with Albion Rovers in the Third Division last season and I am glad that they are now showing people what they can do in the Second.

"They were written off by plenty of people but I always knew they were a good side and they had a good run after beating us to show that.

"We will need to play well to get winning again."

Albion Rovers have included new signing Sean Pierce in their squad.

Barry Russell remains out with a hamstring injury, with manager Paul Martin hoping to bring in a loan signing as cover for the full-back before kick-off.

The Coatbridge side's season came alive when they beat the Gayfield men in October and after a run of three defeats manager Paul Martin is looking for history to repeat itself.

Martin said: "Arbroath are a very good side but winning against them the last time sent us on a run of four straight wins that transformed our season.

"We have to get back to scoring goals after a barren spell and doing that and beating Arbroath again could be another springboard."
