Everton FC to run rule over USA striker Edson Buddle during week-long trial

EVERTON FC are set to give a trial to 30-year-old USA striker Edson Buddle.
The American international shares an agent with Tim Howard and Landon Donovan, and formerly played for LA Galaxy where he 42 goals in 87 appearances over three years.
He was previously linked with EFC, before opting to join Ingolstadt04 in the German second division last January.
The Echo understands David Moyes watched Buddle score for the U.S. national team in a friendly against Solvenia in November.
Moyes will hope the 6ft 1in forward has the experience and reliability in front of goal Everton FC craves, while commanding a low transfer or loan fee.
Buddle formed an effective partnership with Donovan while at Galaxy, and played twice for his nation in the 2010 World Clup, including an appearance against England.
