Lionel Messi: Planning to spend his entire playing career at Barcelona
Lionel Messi has once again spoken of his desire to spend his entire playing career on the books of Barcelona.
The mercurial Argentine playmaker has been moulded into the player he is today by Barca, with the club having spotted his potential early.
Messi graduated through the academy ranks at Camp Nou and currently forms part of a side that leans heavily on home-grown talent.
He has become the leading light in what is arguably the world's best football team, making it easy for him to decide where his future will lie.
Speculation in the past has suggested that he will one day look to move on, with Inter Milan often linked with a big-money approach.
Messi, though, claims to be happy in his current home and sees no reason why he would want to look elsewhere.
Fulfilled
As he waits to discover whether he will land the coveted FIFA Ballon d'Or for a third year in a row, the 24-year-old told Marca: "I'm at the best club in the world, no other team could fulfil me as much as Barcelona does.
"I hope to stay here until they get tired of me, which is hopefully never.
"I grew up at La Masia and I am a man made at Barca.
"The coach (Pep Guardiola) knows the club better than any of us. He was a ball boy, player and now coach.
"He is very smart, knows what needs to be done at all times and how to treat each player. He is also an excellent motivator. I feel very comfortable with him."
