Getafe came from behind to win away from home for the first time this season, as they triumphed 2-1 at Mallorca.

The visitors did not get off to the best start as Miguel Angel Moya flapped at Michael Pereria's corner and Mallorca captain Ivan Ramis headed into the empty net.

However, Abdel Barrada's deflected effort brought Getafe level on 28 minutes before the Moroccan scored again after a wonderful run and pass from Miku left him with the simplest of tasks in front of an unguarded net.

Pedro Rios fired a long-range effort against the post for Getafe early in the second period but despite Mallorca's possession, they offered little in front of goal and Getafe comfortably held on to record back-to-back wins for the first time this term.

Getafe manager Luis Garcia had warned pre-match about his side's need to improve when defending set-pieces but his words fell on deaf ears only 10 minutes in as Moya came to collect a routine corner but failed to do so and allowed Ramis to head in.

Barrada has only recently returned from playing with Morocco in Olympic Games qualification matches but he proved to be the matchwinner with his second and third goals of the season.

The equaliser came at the end of a flowing Getafe move involving Dani Guiza, Rios and Miku before falling kindly in the area for Barrada. His right-footed shot did appear goalbound but was helped further beyond Dudu Aouate by a deflection off Pablo Cendros.

Miku had been the subject of Getafe supporters' frustration in recent weeks, even being booed during last weekend's win over Granada, but the Venezuelan appeared back to his best a minute before half time, as he surged forward to break the Mallorca offside trap and unselfishly squared for Barrada to walk the ball into the empty net.

Joaquin Caparros reacted to those goals by sending on Tomer Hemed for the second half but the Israeli striker had little effect on the game as Getafe kept possession well and looked to counter-attack.

Indeed, the visitors were unlucky not to be further ahead four minutes after the break as Rios' rasping shot came back off the post with Aouate beaten.

Mallorca did carve out one great chance to level when Gonzalo Castro was played in on the left but his shot rebounded back off Moya's knees and away to safety.

The win moves Getafe above Mallorca into 11th with the Islanders just a point behind in 12th.
