MODEL Imogen Thomas told of her "nightmare" last night after she was cleared of being a blackmailer over her affair with Ryan Giggs.

The Big Brother beauty won an eight-month legal battle when the High Court in London heard Manchester United star Giggs, 38, now accepts she NEVER wanted to reveal private details.

Imogen, 28, who was in court to witness her victory, said: "It has been an absolute nightmare for me and my family. I am so relieved the truth has come out."

Imogen told yesterday of her relief at being "vindicated" in court over her blackmail ordeal.

The beauty endured eight months of hell after being slapped with an injunction in April.

It granted anonymity to the claimant — later outed by campaigning Lib Dem MP John Hemming in Parliament.

The following month Mr Justice Eady was widely seen to have labelled Imogen a blackmailer as he explained why he had granted the gagging order, which he did without the model's knowledge.

And after yesterday's hearing Imogen, dressed in a stylish navy dress, said: "To suddenly have to defend my character because of this legal process has been extremely upsetting and stressful.

"I'm just relieved that the parties and the court now accept that I'm no blackmailer.

"I have been vindicated and that's all I wanted. I have nothing to add — it's all behind me now."
