Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is believed to be nearing a new long term contract at Old Trafford despite reports last week suggesting he could be on the verge of turning one down in favour of a move elsewhere.
The 18 year old Frenchman has been linked with Italian giants AC Milan and Inter in recent weeks who would be in a position to snap Pogba up on a free with having to pay only very little in compensation to United and a signing on fee.
However sources claim that this is not the case and despite Pogba not making the first team at the moment, he is aware of the long term plans and that Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to offer a deal that will keep the midfielder at Old Trafford until 2015/2016.
Arsenal had also been linked with a move for Pogba with the player able to talk to clubs during January however the current offer is going to be accepted at some point during December which will see the player no longer available for a free during next summers transfer window.
Despite little first team action the midfielder is already highly rated across Europe and Paul Pogba has already made appearances and all levels for France except at full international level.
