Zaragoza vs Sevilla preview - Marcelino ponders changes for Sevilla

Sevilla coach Marcelino Garcia Toral is toying with a change of system for Sunday's Primera Division match at Real Zaragoza after becoming frustrated with his side's inconsistency.

After making a positive start to the season, Sevilla are without a win in five league games and lost their last match at home to Atletico Madrid.

That match left him irritated by the amount of players he felt were not pulling their weight.

He told www.sevillafc.es: "When teams depend on their individuals they win games, but they don't achieve their objectives. There are 11 players in a football team and if four aren't there, the other six or seven don't do so well.

"The bad thing about Sevilla is that, as a team, we can be tremendously inconsistent.

"We have achieved in phases that have been too short. There is no uniformity and we have to realise that, to win, we have to play 90 minutes with the same intensity and pace and approach, all at a high level."

Changes, then, seem inevitable - and not only in personnel.

"This week (in training) we worked with a different game system that has been working," said Marcelino.

"(We need to) do things differently than we have been doing: in short, have better balance between attack and defence."

The match at La Romareda pits Marcelino, whose side are yet to lose on the road this season, against one of his former clubs, whom he has faced on four previous occasions - drawing each of them.

Zaragoza striker Helder Postiga is determined to ensure that run comes to an end after seeing his side claim just one point from their last five games.

"It's a very important game for us," he said on www.heraldo.es. "We want out of this string of poor results for the team and to give joy to the the fans of La Romareda."

Sevilla defender Martin Caceres will miss the game with a hamstring injury sustained in training this week.
