Siena will have to overcome the absence of striker Emanuele Calaio for Sunday's home game against Atalanta.

Calaio, who is the Tuscan outfit's top scorer with five goals this season, is sidelined with a calf injury.

His inability to play is a blow for Giuseppe Sannino's side, with the Italian striker having found the back of the net in three of his team's last four games.

However, Siena defender Luca Rossetini is confident his side can do well without him.

"Emanuele is a very important for us," he said. "But up to now our strength has always been our capacity to replace those that are unavailable."

Pablo Gonzalez is set to take Calaio's place in attack and play alongside Mattia Destro.

Siena have shown great form at home, winning their last three games in Tuscany while scoring nine goals and conceding just once in the process.

However, the Bianconeri expect to be tested when Atalanta come to town.

"We will try to repeat the good performances we have shown at home this season," Rossetini said. "We have done well at home but this weekend we face a difficult rival.

"Atalanta are in great form and they have had a solid start to the campaign."

Siena, who lost 2-1 at Serie A leaders Udinese last time out, are ninth in the standings, one point clear of Atalanta.

The Bergamaschi have lost just twice this season and go into the encounter at the Artemio Franchi stadium on the back of a 1-0 triumph over Cagliari, their fifth win of the campaign.

Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono will be without defender Andrea Massiello and midfielder Luca Cigarini, with both men suspended.
