Real Madrid have been dealt a big blow with the news that Kaka and Fabio Coentrao have been ruled out of Saturday's La Liga game against Valencia.
Kaka picked up a leg injury in last month's away trip to Real Sociedad and Los Blancos assistant coach, Aitor Karanka has confirmed the Brazilian will not be fit in time for the trip to Mestalla.
"He's not sufficiently recovered and will not be in the group. It seemed he was okay but then he was not able to play. Although, there has been no relapse or another injury," the former Madrid defender told reporters at a press conference.
Karanka also mentioned that Fabio Coentrao will sit out of the game against Unai Emery's men after appearing on international duty in Portugal's 6-2 aggregate win over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Euro 2012 play-offs.
With the former Benfica man out of the game on Saturday, Marcelo is likely to take his place at left-back after recovering from a thigh muscle injury.
