Steamy times for Gossip Girl Liz

Liz Hurley is making a splash on American TV show Gossip Girl.

The 46-year-old, recently engaged to cricketer Shane Warne, has been filming in New York and has young male cast members wrapped around her little finger.

Liz plays mysterious millionairess Diana in the series and appears with Chace Crawford, 25, and Ed Westwick, 24.

A spy says: ‘At the moment Chace’s character Nate is having a torrid fling with Liz. Chace is absolutely loving shooting the scenes, while Ed grew up in Britain and has had a huge crush on Liz since he was a teenager.

‘Ed is hugely envious of Chace’s steamy scenes but as the producers are toying with a storyline that would see Diana revealed as his character’s mother, there will be no love scenes between them for obvious reasons.’

Security for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations will cost the taxpayer a small fortune.

Organisers of next year’s events – which will include numerous overseas tours, a concert at Buckingham Palace and a spectacular pageant on the Thames – estimate the bill could reach £100million.

‘Senior members of the Royal Family will be travelling to the other 15 realms of the Commonwealth and a tour of the UK is being planned for the Queen,’ says a source.

‘The figure for security could reach £100million because of the events and tours, but the Queen is hoping it will all be a huge success.’
