AWOL Tevez could face £750,000 fine as Manchester City tell striker to return immediately

Manchester City have told Carlos Tevez to return to the club immediately and face a possible fine in excess of £750,000 after the former captain skipped training to stay in Argentina.
As revealed by Sportsmail, City believe Tevez ignored two lots of specific instructions to remain in Manchester and train this week, and instead flew home to South America on Monday night.

Even the players’ union seemed to be running out of patience with Tevez.
Professional Footballers’ Association chief executive Gordon Taylor defended the player when City tried to fine him four weeks’ wages for his behaviour in Bayern Munich recently, when manager Roberto Mancini alleged he refused to play.
