Tony Fernandes says QPR don’t need David Beckham

QPR owner Tony Fernandes will not be signing David Beckham — because he reckons Becks would not even get in the side.
The LA Galaxy superstar has been linked with the R's and Tottenham.
But Fernandes said: "I'm not sure where we'd play Beckham because midfield is our strongest area right now.
"Anyway, I think he's happy where he is, so I don't think it will happen."
Tycoon Fernandes has promised manager Neil Warnock more cash to strengthen his squad in January's transfer window.
Fernandes added: "We have good defenders but not enough of them and we need to strengthen up front as well."
QPR defender Matt Connolly, out since the start of October with an ankle injury, hopes to return at Stoke next week.
