Albion have ruled out the injured trio of Barry Russell, Chris Boyle and Steven Canning for their derby clash with Airdrie United.

Rovers are looking for their first ever victory over their neighbours in the third meeting between the two sides since the Diamonds were reborn in 2002.

Captain Ciaran Donnelly is a doubt with a hamstring problem, however defender Simon Marriot should feature providing he shakes off a knock.

Boss Paul Martin is determined his men make up for a 4-0 defeat to their local rivals earlier in the season.

"Our fans supported the team fantastically well in that game even though we were four down at half-time," he said.

"It would be great to reward that support with a win in what will be a hotly contested contest."

Airdrie United welcome back Kieron Stallard and Kevin Green from suspension for their short trip.

Defender Paul Lovering drops out after being red-carded last week but striker John Boyle is available.

The game has come too soon for Graeme Goodall and Alastair Woodburn who remain out through injury.

After having four men sent off in as many games, Diamonds boss Jimmy Boyle is telling his men to remain ice cool.

"This will be a feisty game and we have to keep 11 men on the park if we are to do anything in it," he said.

"They have won their last two games and will be out for revenge after the 4-0 defeat we gave them so it will be a game for calm heads."
