BAN DISPUTE ... City defender Toure
MANCHESTER CITY are on collision course with the PFA again today as they put Kolo Toure in the dock.
The defender could be hit with a fine of around £300,000 when he faces an internal disciplinary panel over his six-month drugs ban.
Toure is expected to be represented by the players' union just days after they clashed with his club over the Carlos Tevez affair.
PFA chief Gordon Taylor declined to ratify City's attempt to fine the Argentinian striker four weeks' wages — nearly £800,000 — for refusing to warm up in Munich last month.
That fine was halved and the union will be hoping to drive down any punishment the Premier League leaders try to hand Toure.
Almost eight months have passed since his failed test in early March but City still want to stick to their disciplinary code and launch a full review.
Boss Roberto Mancini insists there is no comparison between Ivory Coast ace Toure and Tevez though.
It is believed that Toure's positive test came as a result of him taking his wife's slimming pills.
And Italian Mancini said: "Kolo's was a mistake — a totally different situation."
