Guardiola: Barca ran too much

Despite beating Real Mallorca 5-0, Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola was unimpressed with his side, saying they "ran too much".
Lionel Messi notched up a hat-trick, with Dani Alves and Issac Cuenca chipping in to give the Catalans all three points, but Guardiola was more concerned with their upcoming Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen.
"We run too much, we didn't want to have put so much effort in," the coach told Gol TV after the game.
The Spaniard took time to praise Issac Cuenca for scoring his first goal for Barcelona on his first start at the Nou Camp in La Liga.
He added: "Isaac played very well, he is a guy who is good at taking players on and passing. He scored his first goal in the stadium and has played very well so congratulations [to him]."
There was also time for Guardiola to praise Alves for his contribution to this Barcelona side.
"Thank you to Dani for all his efforts. As a player, his reliablity is priceless. I have to thank him very much because he gives us the possibility of playing in many ways.
Guardiola is keen to wrap up qualification to the Champions League round of 16 by beating Viktoria Plzen in their midweek clash, especially if AC Milan can hold off BATE Borisov in the group's other fixture.
