Mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a huge New Year bid for Arsenal and Manchester United target Eden Hazard.
The Premier League pair and Real Madrid were thought to be the most likely buyers for Hazard, who is currently one of the most sought-after players in world football.
But, according to reports in France, Qatari-backed PSG are now ready to trump all the other clubs pursuing Hazard with a £45m January bid, which they think Lille will be unable to refuse.
Lille president Michel Seydoux has already confirmed that Hazard could leave next summer for around £40m, but the Ligue 1 club want to sell him to a club outside of France.
But PSG hope that by paying over the odds for Hazard, 20, Lille will let him leave for the capital in January.
