Cowdenbeath defender Thomas O'Brien will return to the squad to face Forfar after shaking off the illness that sidelined him last week.

But player/manager Colin Cameron has been ruled out with a groin strain, Dean Brett, Kal Naismith, Danny McKay and Dene Droudge are struggling with respective knee injuries and Mark Ramsay (ankle) is also unavailable.

Cameron said: "The second half last week against Stirling was the best 45 minutes we've played this season and I'm looking forward for us building on that against Forfar.

"They came from a goal and a man down to draw with Arbroath last week and that tells you how tough it will be."

Forfar goalkeeper Adam McHugh and defender Michael Bolochoweckyj will both miss out through suspension.

Defender Greg Ross is also out through injury and Stephen Tulloch is a doubtful due to an unspecified knock, but Craig Wilson and Mark McCulloch should both be fit enough to return.

The Loons hit back to draw against Arbroath last weekend despite Bolochoweckyj's dismissal and assistant manager Ian Campbell is hoping their second-half performance marks a turning point in their season.

Campbell said: "We've been inconsistent, but we showed all the fight, character and good play you associate with Forfar in that second half and we could have gone on to win.

"We have something to build on now and are looking forward to this one."
