Stenhousemuir are again without experienced duo Kevin McKinlay and Paul McHale as they host Dumbarton.

Defender McKinlay has a shoulder problem while midfielder McHale is missing with a foot complaint.

The Warriors, who are third in the Second Division, have been told to start this clash much better than their recent encounter at Airdrie, where they were three-nil down at half-time.

Assistant manager Kevin McGoldrick said: "Airdrie were right in our faces from kick-off and some of our boys were not ready for that. Hopefully it was the kick up the backside we needed to go on and have a good season.

"Dumbarton have also been inconsistent and if they have a good day we will have to push ourselves all the way for the win."

Dumbarton will be without suspended striker David Winters as they travel to Ochilview.

Winters starts a two-game suspension but is the only absentee in the Sons squad.

Player/assistant manager Jack Ross, a recent arrival at the club, said: "I watched Dumbarton against Forfar in their last game just before I joined them and they did really well.

"We had a friendly against Clyde during the international break and the boys played well in that one as well so there is no need to change things other than David's absence.

"Stenhousemuir have a side packed with players with good pedigrees in the game, but we have quality in our side as well and will be looking for a win."
